Now Britain have even more reason to be at war with it. Terror, that is.
I want a sidebar ticker that keeps track of the number of people killed as a result of recent international terrorism in Australia, the UK and America, and the number of civilians killed as a result of coalition activities in Afghanistan, Iraq, and whoever else “we’re” attacking this week.
That’s what I want.

Zooey the Tam died last night, aged 10. But not before going through the same weird birth-giving process described by Desci here.
So now I have a second generation boy Tam called Boda. He shits like a trouper.

So true.
Tobyesterhase aka Steve Cronin and Roger That have upped stakes.
And Urchin X seems to have died.
… or so he claims… according to some website linked by an anonymous commenter at American Guy’s.
Founded in August 2001, Conical Inc is a non-profit contemporary art centre directed by Adrien Allen with support from a core committee of 6 practising artists.
One of whom is none other than La Hely:
Robin Hely has had a checkered career as an artist working mainly in the medium of deception. The last five years has seen him masquerading as a missing person, attempting to deliver a 1m x 2.5m parcel to unknown recipients in Oporto Portugal, filling up Conical gallery with cardboard boxes, going on a blind date wearing a hidden camera and setting up a secret underground organization dedicated to altering the perceptions of its participants.
Hely was born on a sheep farm somewhere in New Zealand and purchased a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography on the internet during 1993. After traversing the globe and learning the trade of a fine artist he returned to New Zealand to study. Following the erection of two billboards in conjunction with a spurious advertising campaign he was awarded a Masters in Fine Arts with distinction.
Hely now resides somewhere in Victoria and has developed a penchant for wearing masks.
And they’re right here in Fitzroy.

Seriously. How do you get a job in one of those?
I’d be great. I could keep my toe in the communications industry, without compromising my integrity. And it would sound cool, too. “Oh, I work in a streetcorner newsbooth.” “Wow, that must be interesting; what do you do there?” “Well, I sell news.”
I can just see it.
I still want to work in a cinema. Longer-term readers will remember my ill-fated encounter with Village a while ago, which was disheartening. I haven’t approached any others, partly coz I’m too shy, and partly because the dearth of proper, livable-off positions in the field is somewhat demotivating. Maybe I should, though.
I don’t know.
Work! *throws up hands*

If it continues to rain today, there will be consequences.

With her possession of this mug, my sister demonstrates a degree of self-awareness that I would not normally credit her with.
I’m with the clams on one thing: psychiatry is whack.
Go off your meds, kids!

Contrary to intentions, I got nothing of any real note done today. But I did dispose of quite a lot of trivial domestic and administrative tasks which had been bugging me. And cleared my email (er, more or less), which is always good. So I will be in an excellent position to actually accomplish stuff tomorrow.
My sister and her boi have stocks of strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, apricot, and lingonberry (no, I don’t know either) jams. And herrings. It’s a Scandinavian thing, apparently.
But they had no raspberry jam. So I bought some.
I also got brownie mix. I thought I would make some and send them to Chris Titan. I kind of feel sorry for him.
In other news, the camera seems to be having serious exposure problems.
I am listening to “Blind” by the Sundays, but I think I’m going to have to turn it off, because it is making me very nostalgic and causing me angst. Lovely album, though.
Now I’m gonna go and cook that roast I was talking about yesterday.
If you haven’t already, go and visit Jo; she needs to be encouraged to post more often.
I put Sam up on the bed last night, partly because I am secretly sexually attracted to him and partly due to a childish desire to do things that will piss my sister off without her knowing about it whilst she is away.
It really upset him. He just didn’t know what the hell to think.
Sorry Sammy.
I wonder if Bridget or Charles would give me a reference.
(JOKE.)
(Actually, I’m sure working for the Scienos – except, perhaps, in an authorised infiltratory capacity – would be in breach of my contract.)
