I was so touched I sent her an audio message.

On one of his front legs. The nurse at the veterinary hospital took quite a shine to him apparently.

He has been going a bit mental lately. But he is okay.

A couple of weeks ago – and not at all by design – I bumped into an old acquaintance from Canberra, P, at one of the supermarkets on Acland Street (I forget which one; I have been known to patronize both although these days I tend to favour the IGA on Fitzroy Street – prospective stalkers take note). He used to play the saxophone in a band, and sometimes pretends to have Tourette’s Syndrome. He is going through some heavy shit right now. I like him a lot.
We had a beer on Wednesday at the Espy. Whilst I was waiting for him I chatted to my friend Gethsemane. She was a bit drunk and asked me to transcribe a postcard for her – to Operative Tenex of all people. Seems they’re quite close – or were. I hadn’t even realised. It’s a small world.
But none of it is critically urgent, and I’m really tempted to go for another epic snooze. The last one was so good. Would that be indulging my avoidant personality disorder? I really do feel like I need another sleep..
I hate to sleep; it feels so self-indulgent. I don’t have the time for it right now. But it’s a good thing to do occasionally. It’s highly beneficial to one’s health and wellbeing. If I slept now, I would be able to get much more done when I woke up than I would get done now if I stayed awake.
Fuck it; I’m hittin’ the hay.

Probably not. But stranger things have happened.
Chris: learn to form consistently coherent sentences – and stay the hell away from Neurocam. Then we’ll talk.
Yanno, if you want.

One of the original Neurobloggers – and a close personal friend of mine – Mr. Xade “Xadey” Xade has put his blog to bed until further notice.
His contemporary Mr. Tript put up a ‘closed’ sign a little while ago.
It really is the end of an era.
I slept until I couldnae sleep any more.
I can’t remember the last time I did that.
It was great.

I finally got my battery-deficient iPod fixed. It’s like a whole new iPod. Literally. It arrived sheathed in all the exciting factory packaging I missed out on the first time around because it was purchased secondhand. “Please don’t steal music”, pleads the little slip of plastic covering the display plaintively. How sweet! You wouldn’t get that from the RIAA.

Steve Cronin is stranded in Houston Texas, which is just about to be hit by Hurricane Rita.
Bad things have a way of happening, don’t they?
He promises regular updates.. as long as the power holds out.
And he has audio!
UPDATE – And video!

My sis once asked me if I believed in the past.
(We were, naturally, extremely stoned as was the style at the time.)
I thought about it for a bit and said “no”, because of course the past does not Really Exist. Have you ever been there? No. It is a mental construct. It’s something you think about. It is not Real.
“Do you believe in the future?”
And again I replied “no”, on the same basis.
She smiled.
“There’s no time…” she said, exhaling gently and significantly. “Like the present.”
And in that moment the very fabric of reality split open and fell clean away, for I could clearly see that she was perfectly correct.
And I did.
Best present ever.

I have solved the riddle of existence, and it’s like this: life is, in the most literal sense imaginable, what you make it. There is only a ghost in a machine and it is us; there is no other.
Everything is inherently completely hollow. Everything is made of information, which does not really exist. Nothing is real. We’re all just making this up as we go along. I shit you not. Things aquire energy according to the energy which is afforded to them by the perceiver(s).
Voila, the world is over.
Whether this constitutes a tragic or a happy ending – or just the ‘meh’ to end all ‘meh’s – is, most appropriately, left as an exercise for the reader.
Good afternoon.

It has this wicked macro too. These are fibres in my jeans:
Don’t believe me? Look:
I was impressed, I would expect that you are as well.
My CD is still broken though. I think my sister has one.
