Today:
I fed him moderately every day and changed his water every week.
*shrugs*
Whatever the goldfish equivalent of green thumbs are, I guess I just don't got 'em.
Nada the kitten is doing well though.

1. At any point did you feed your goldfish Wheat Thins? Because in my experience you can put the goldfish *on* a Wheat Thins diet, but you can't take em off. Else floaties.

Not at all. But! Close examination of the picture will reveal a cockroach floating next to Feustus's corpse. That appeared on the same morning he was found dead. Weirdly, it only occurs to me now that these two things may not be unrelated.

Stay tuned.

I was wondering what that was.
Does the cockroach thing, um, happen a lot?
(*has traumatizing flashbacks to life in Hawaii*)
You don't have highly poisonous monster-truck-sized centipedes too, do you?
Cane spiders?
Anything else I should know about?

Not to worry; that was honestly pretty much the first cockroach I've seen since this one.
We do have poisonous monster-truck-sized centipedes, but you get used to them after a while. They comply with traffic regulations and they're surprisingly affectionate.

I'm going with 'gold & scaly thumbs.'
In any case, I think having a fish (or any other pet) is like having a plant in that you can do all right things, and the fucker can still up and die on you for no effing apparent reason.
